Nikon N90s SLR Camera with Sigma Zoom 24-70mm f/3.5-5.6 Lens.
The Nikon N90s is a 35mm autofocus SLR using Nikon's F lens mount. It was targeted toward the advanced amateur or prosumer; its featureset is comparable to that of Nikon's current D100/200/300 SLRs. The name N90s was used for marketing in the United States; everywhere else, the camera was called the F90x. This camera was also used as the base for the Kodak DCS 400 series of digital SLRs.
The N90s/F90x was introduced in 1994 and discontinued in 2001.
Pick up the N90s and you're immediately struck by how substantial it feels. Some might say "heavy," but it really isn't a heavy camera, just a densely packed, well-built one.
By the early nineties, Nikon’s Matrix Metering system was really finding its groove, and that’s evident here in the N90s. It’s metering system that simply does not fail. It also avoids limitation for shooters who want a different approach, in that the shooter can instantly switch to spot or center-weighted metering at any time. Shooters will make stunning pictures with little hassle, as long as they remember the difference between challenging light and bad light; good cameras can work with the former, and no camera works with the latter.

Holding the N90s, I can feel the crest of that high water mark starting to build. It’s an era that produced truly outstanding cameras that refuse to give out to this day. It’s both relevant and historical, utilitarian and sometimes decorative.
It makes me feel nostalgic while creating amazing images and new memories.
The NIkon N90 is an awesome camera. The 4 batteries in it are the same ones I put in it a good 30 rolls of film ago. This was my cold weather camera. I used to take my F90s out in -30°c weather and it never skipped a beat. It's plastic on the outside, but built like a tank.
The NIkon N90 has the brightest viewfinder of any camera at that time, it makes manual focusing a breeze, and focuses any lens as fast as any current digital cameras.
The other big plus with the N90s: batteries, it takes four AA’s.
It is the perfect road trip camera if you are planning to explore off the beaten path because every general store, 7/11, bodega, trading post, village market, souk, etc. will stock AA batteries.
